Range of Services

Large Tree Pruning (Climb)

No matter how small the space or how large the tree, I offer a range of services including thinning for light, shaping, canopy reduction, removal, canopy cleaning, and building clearance. Let me know what goals you have for your tree and I’ll show you the possibilities.

Ornamental Tree Pruning & Topiary

I’m interested in turning your garden’s centrepiece into a showstopper. I sculpt trees to create living works of art and offer services such as cabling, guying, and limb-training to achieve desired aesthetics. I have a special interest in Japanese Gardens and Niwaki. I’d love to work with you on your garden or landscaping projects.

Fruit Tree & Hedge Maintenance

Some trees need a lot of TLC. Whether you’d like to refresh an eyesore or build towards an aesthetic goal, I have the experience and tools for these specialized tasks.

ISA Certified Arborist - Schaefer

Schaefer is the lead climbing arborist of Littlefoot certified by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). Experienced working in Toronto’s congested core and beyond, she specializes in sustainability focused solutions for downtown trees with an aesthetic touch. Not just a tree barber, but a tree stylist; Schaefer has been a Lead Climber full-time for tenured GTA companies since 2022.

Why “Littlefoot” Tree Service?

Littlefoot is based in the cozy Toronto neighbourhood of Cabbagetown and loves to work locally. Cabbagetown is known for it’s charming narrow tree-lined streets, stunning gardens, and Victorian-era row-homes with little-to-no backyard access from the street. The name Littlefoot Tree Service emphasizes that we like to tread lightly, with as little impact and pollution as possible. Careful consideration has been taken in every aspect of the trade, especially when thinking of noise pollution for clients and neighbours that work-from-home. We are careful and kind.

In addition, the name “Littlefoot” is a callback to The Land Before Time (1988), a children’s film where a dinosaur by the name “Littlefoot” searches for the last remaining trees post-meteorite; illustrating how trees are one of the most ancient and essential pillars of our ecosystem.
